Lust Have It: February 2013

Just as I got back Monday afternoon, the mailman dropped off my Lust Have It box for February 2013. My box this month contains only four of the five items listed as the box weighed 480g and there was no room for an extra sachet. I was not impressed with the packaging. Even though I expected it to not be in their new packaging, I would have rather had no tissue paper and no shredded paper than the poor amount they put it. The tissue paper was underneath and would rather have no paper in the box than what was included. It felt like they just threw in whatever packaging was left over into the box.

Here's what's in my Lust Have It box for February 2013:

Summer Tan by Mancine Self Action Tan in Dark:
Many people weren't excited about this product in their box as it's the end of summer. I however was excited about this product as you can never have enough tanning products. Once I finish the last bottle of the Face of Australia Tanning Mousse that I am currently using I will try this. This product is a lotion and has a green base to it which eliminates the orange tone, and it already tinted so you know where you have and haven't applied it.

Styli-Style L3 Timeless Lipstick in Heavenly:
This lipstick is described as non-drying, long-lasting with long-lasting colour and shine. This lipstick felt a bit drying on my lips and the colour is extremely sheer. The shine refers to the extreme frosty finish of the lipstick. In the tube it looks like a beautiful orange-coral colour, but when applied or swatched, all you can see is the extreme gold shimmer.

The Natural Source Camouflage Colour Nail Lacquer in Blackened Brown:
I love the packaging of the nail polish and the idea how there is no harmful synthetic ingredients in it. However, the colour I received is a dark brown colour out of the fifty different colours that they offer. I do wear browns on my nails, but more grey-browns or taupe, not red-based browns as they are not flattering and don't paint a nice picture in my head. These polishes are reasonably priced but the colour I received has put my off from trying it or even purchasing it. Also, the colour has separated and even when shaken up, it doesn't completely blend together.

Lon Vitalite C9 Moisturising Hand Mask:
I really don't see the point in this product and would have loved to get the C10 Whitening Hand Mask as it's something different. Plus using hand creams are sufficient for me.

The product missing is a sachet of Kerastase Paris Nectar Thermique.

I'm not exactly over-the-moon with the box this month. The only product that I was excited about was the self tanner. The Kerastaste Paris product was also something that I wanted to try.

  1. From what I've been reading on other blogs the nail polish seems like a real hit and miss. Mine was too thick to be useable, some were watery and others were just right. I think they need to work on their formula. :o)

  2. Erk. This box doesn't seem too good! Disappointing how the nail polish has already separated.. Does that mean it's old? Not subbed to a monthly box subscription! I rather save that $15 and spend it on something I'd like. I can choose whichever shades and products that I know I'd use!

    1. I've unsubscribed from the boxes as I decided I'd rather spend the $30 a month on an extra nail polish or two, or pick up a random product from a store that actually interests me and try that or on a colour I know I'll actually wear.

The nail polish could be seperating cause it contains natural ingredients. I have polishes that are 15 years old and the colours haven't seperated like that.
